Attention:

1, do not eat, drink, or smoke for at least 30 minutes before swabbing.

2, incorrect collection will result in bad data and re-collection

Understand your DNA Test Report

Paternity 'NOT EXCLUDED'

It means that alleged father is most likely to be the father of the child. The tested data in the table strongly support a father-child relationship. When  conclusion: paternity NOT EXCLUDED is made, the Combined Paternity Index (CPI) is 100 (or larger) and the Probability of Paternity is typically 99.99% (or higher).

Paternity 'EXCLUDED'

It means that alleged father is not the biological father of the child because the data in the table do not support a father-child relationship. Whenever alleged father is EXCLUDED as the biological father, the Combined Paternity Index (CPI) is 0 and the Probability of Paternity is 0%.

Sibling DNA Test:

An important point: sibling DNA test is less conclusive than paternity or maternity test unless one parent joins the test. Sibling DNA test can’t confirm or disprove that two people are full or half siblings with 100% certainty, since two siblings could share 0% or 100% of their DNA theoretically.

Full siblings:
97% of biological full siblings had a full sibling kinship index value of 10 or greater
98% of unrelated individuals had a full sibling kinship index value of 0.1 or less

Half siblings:
65% of biological half siblings had a half sibling kinship index value of 10 or greater
76% of unrelated individuals had a half sibling kinship index value of 0.1 or less

Grandparent Grandchild Test, Aunt/Uncle Nephew/Niece Test and Cousin DNA Test:

Kinship index value is >10, support for relationship

Kinship index value is < 0.1, no support for relationship

Kinship index value is between 0.1 and 10, inconclusive for relationship
